Well, the point for me is very basic one - it's a far more pleasurable orgasm. If I do let go and ejaculate, it's usually rather disappointing, though this is not uncommon for men with spina bifida.
Tethered spinal cord or not, my friends who have experienced it have reported feeling more intensity to some degree, as well as the other possibilities I mentioned. Of course, it's not going to be suitable or preferable for all people or couples, but I wanted to spread the word about it.
