Car amps run off a 12 volt pwer source too, so you'd need a converter (or a car battery, Ha Ha) to power it. Tinfoil has the best idea, sell it to a kid and invest in an system made for a computer. I have output jacks on my sound card that I ran to my home stereo system, another good option.
