It's virtually impossible to deconstruct a well-performed illusion, particularly a filmed one. The magician has firm control over what the audience can and cannot see (this is a guiding principle of stage magic, by the way).

That said, I'm thinking the significant moments are at 0:13 and 1:06. The bit with the chainsaw before the actual sawing reeks of misdirection, as does the bit with him checking the heartbeat (0:19-0:26). At the far end, I suspect it's highly significant that he chooses to stand in front of his 'victim' at 1:05; what's going on there that we're not supposed to see?

It is very well executed, to be sure; but then one would expect nothing less from Kevin James, or really anyone at his level.
