When you walk out on someone (I've been on the other end of this before) knowing that
you want to end it but are unable to express it, the person you you love(d) is being treated like shit, whether or not that's the intention. It would have been a lot easier for him to deal if he'd experienced the closure you feel you need now.
If it was a dead end relationship, then let it (and him) go. You will always have those few beautiful moments you shared.
