There are ways around the Great Firewall of Panera...
I'm not sure if it is better not to know anything or get lied to by the media/government.
I do feel that Open Source programmers have not done enough to free the internet and make it truly anonymous and open. Programs like Tor and Freenet are nice, but it's not something that can be easily setup.
