I pretty much agree with Redjake on all counts here. It had a lot of promise, and seeing Harrison be Indy again was all kinds of fun, but the movie just didn't pay off. i think it was probably around Temple of Doom-level, maybe a bit better, maybe a bit worse.
The alien aspect just didn't fit the series, and the total rip off of the X-Files Movie at the end didn't help, though, I concede that could've been a rip of something else. Really, I spent most of the plot sections of the movie feeling like I was watching an X-Files episode, which is silly.
I saw flashes of greatness, but overall it didn't come close to what it could have been.
