i think this is one of the great political poems/tracks ever.

he saw all of it.

the record came out in 1981.
by the end of the decade, he wasn't on a record label any more.

fela saw it too, but from a different place, one where avoidance was harder to pull off.
this came out in 1977 but i only heard it in around 1983.

i saw them in 1978.
that show altered everything--i've never been the same as i was before that.
i worked my way into their stuff bit by bit.
this is awesome.
