I've used one. I think i was cleaning for someone in preparation for a party or because he was sick. Anyway, to me, it's the same as the rest and i hate it. The dog hates Hoovers & Dysons & all the rest, too. I think it might have something to do with our ears.
In the absence of carpets -- which i dislike as much as vacuum cleaners -- a broom is perfectly adequate. It is quiet, simple, and effective.
