Recidivism rates are high, but that's for another discussion. No matter how many times someone is arrested or convicted (and it seems that the distinction is blurred in a lot of peoples' minds,) individuals have the same rights and should be treated accordingly. The show throws out presumption of innocence and dehumanizes
alleged criminals with no due process while officers show off their authority and flaunt their power for the camera.
