The earlier posts are right - five is an unusual pack size, but as has been said, it could have been a six, twelve, or other size that was partially depleted.

All in all, the couple EITHER have an open relationship, but the wife is carrying on outside agreed boundaries, OR he's a liar, OR he's miscounted, OR she's used one for something else.

Only they can sort this out, and only talking about it will sort it out for them.

For myself, I understand that it's possible to be frightened that she's cheating on him, but aroused by it at the same time.
