If you have no problems with what you buy, then price is worth it. Apple customers pay for exteme quality, service and support. Low end apple systems, especially laptops are comparable to all manufacturers. Apple is comparable with Dell and IBM in price. You get what you pay for and most mac owners appreciate what they get. Can you say the same for PC owners using windows?
Plus the first batch of all new processors for any system are always more expensive. Check out the price on Intels higher chips.
