I tell each and every interaction that asks for ANY information that I'm not interested in giving it to them without knowing what it is for...
If I'm filing something out for free information... I misspell my name on purpose so that when I get junk mail... I know immediately it's junk mail and it never even enters my house as it's disposed right out of my mailbox.
