Are we sure that this has been banned?
As for the lack of depth at MTV... sounds like there is need of a new Music Video channel... one that plays music other than Rap... We have the following in Canada:
Much Music (what MTV used to be) - basic cable
More Much Music (like VH1) - basic cable
Much Vibe (Rap, R&B, hip hop and soul) - digital cable/sat
Much Loud (Rock and alt rock)- digital cable/sat
MTV 1 (Canadian version of MTV) - digital cable/sat
MTV 2 (ditto above but more music less non-music programming) - digital cable/sat
