A NATURAL PRAYER
Let me breathe freely as
the mountains do.
Give me pause long enough
to see the silver lining.
Have chance turn me to see
A golden, setting sun.
Push a gentle breeze upon me
to cool my frenzy.
Prevent me from speaking
So I may hear the crickets.
Hear my prayers so that I may
Realize the miracles of nature.

I AM AN EAGER YOUTH
I am an eager youth
cozy at the feet of life
before the fire.
I listen in awe
as she speaks
of lessons,
as the night
draws on.

FEAR
Allow stress to wither away,
Discover a trust in nature.
Relinquish worry to time,
For what you may not control,
Is what you may not control,
And fear is beset by hope.
