I have to agree with him. I was super psyched that I got into the beta [even got 2 copies for some reason] but then I installed it and tried playing and sweet jesus it was the most boring thing,
ever. I played a total of 8 hours or so, and only 1 of those did I actually go "wow this is fun". The other's were spent going "Sweet christ this is so boring and monotonious" because really, going into the woods to kill a ton of bunnies just so you can get a level up for 3 hours, isn't my idea of fun.
The only way you can have any amount of fun in this game, is to have a lot of friends around, because then you end up spending a lot of time getting into retarded positions and laughing at the models.
