was at my parent's place last weekend and had a blazing 48-50kbps or less to work with. Real bloody painful after my 768k download and *slow* 128k upload at my place.
used to have a one way satelite connection (modem upload, broadband DL with slight latency), and it has been somewhere around 2-3 years since I used dialup exclusively I believe.
