Walkman radio getting no AM signal

The other day I found a Casset/AM/FM radio walkman in with some junk someone I know was throwing out, and they said I could have it.

It's in good condition, just had dust and pieces of crap all inside of it. I cleaned it out, and put some batteries in, and everything works perfectly, except that I can't get an AM signal on it.

FM and the tape deck works, and nothings chipped or broken on both outside or inside, but no matter where I go AM stations won't come in, not even a slight static buzzing of one.

Not sure if that means the antenna inside is broke or what. I can get AM stations fine with any other radios I have.

Anyone have any ideas other then taking it to a shop to get it looked at?
