Yea thats always cool.. until you get one of those people that just walks by without a glance and their nose stuck up in the air.. which has happened to me a few times when I try to be curtious.
It gets really annoying, but besides slamming the door in their face theres not much you can do. =P dont worry I havn't done it. just thought about it.
BUT on a possitive note, on the rare ocasions the people do notice, it reminds me that there are still some damn nice people in the world
