Umm. I'd like to cast a negative vote for the MX700. I have one. It's excellent, precise as fuck, and totally a good value for the price. But it's also heavy and makes your hand tired - I can really feel the difference when I use a cheapo plastic mouse on another computer.
Instead, try the corded-but-otherwise-identical MX500. It doesn't have batteries inside, so it's way lighter, and you get the same functionality in ALL other respects. Save a couple bucks, too.
