And no, this is not a place for flaming, since you can present your viewpoint while still being respectful of others.
If you spend some time looking around, you'll see plenty of knockdown dragouts that were allowed to continue because those participating kept things to the issues being discussed and didn't sink to calling each other names.
On the flip side, I can promise you that if someone posted a thread, "Conservatives Suck!" tomorrow it too would be locked, because it has no topic and no reason other than to encourage flames from one side or the other.
