i think this would be helpful as well.
It could easily be done by adding an attribute to the link created by the php query called "title" or "alt" i believe; Then have it set to 10 or 15 characters pulled from the php message field. Im not sure if vbb lets you do that, but it wouldnt be terribly hard to impliment, at least in theory.. Let's see what Halx has to say about it.
