I resented the automatic implication that those of us who have guns are dedicated couch potatoes. It was an insulting blanket generalization that had no grounding in reality. Considering that I am one of those that have a gun, I felt free to respond.

I actually am in complete agreement. I have no desire to ever shoot another human being, just as I am certain you don't want to hurt them in a hand to hand confrontation.
