I don't think it's a good idea at all, it would be disastrous to the economy of both nations. Like it or not, the U.S. economy depends on illegal aliens being migrant farm workers. Mexicos economy depends on the lower wages paid there so that companies can produce goods at a lower cost for export. Remove those two things, and both countries are in trouble.
