Charlie Hunter? Those of you who are guitarists, you would definitely dig him. He's a contemporary jazz player and plays an 8 string guitar. Top three strings are bass strings. The bottom five are guitar strings. He plays the bass with his thumb, the guitar with his pinky, ring and middle, and the index finger kinda alternates between bass and guitar. He can solo on the guitar while handing down a consistent bass line at the same time. It has to be seen to be believed.
I saw him in concert last night with a saxophonist and drummer. It was an extremely funky night. This guy just kicks ass.
