depending on the amount of data your looking at archiving, you may want to look into DVD burners.
(dvdr's hold 4700 mb vs 700mb cds)
i havent done the math, but i beleive price per meg including intial purchase of hardware is cheaper in favour of the dvd-rw as compared to the cdrws.
just something you may want to look into.
