I think that it all comes down to a level of comfort and trust. My wife knows that I am hers, and I'm not going anywhere. So, she doesn't see other women as a threat.

Exactly. i find it almost disconcerting when my SO keeps pestering me to tell her which girls on the street are sexy. She's constantly annoyed that i've gone many years without ever bothering to answer when she asks.
