I'd definitely hit girls- it's not that different than hitting a guy. In my hockey league, there are a good number of girls, almost all of the cute/in shape variety, and if you don't check them every bit as hard as the guys, you won't make it out there. After a while, you just get in the mind set that you have to take it to anyone who takes it to you.
