If feasible you might want to swap a few components with your brother's PC.

Switch the RAM chips and see wether the problem persists.

The one time I needed the Mem86 test, I only ran test 1... it gave such amount of errors that the end result was clear: the memory was bad (or in this particular case: the memory controller on the cpu )
