Music Backwards (literally)

This is interesting, a short clip of Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead played backwards:
Backwards Fake Plastic Trees

I am not sure how they did it? Although i found this (shareware or something version) Audioedit program to literally reverse a mp3 or wav track. Interestingly, i tried revesing this version of Fake Plastic Trees (so it'd be back to the original), it worked alright, but had this weird echo effect.

Anyway, the backwards version of this Fake Platic Trees sounds (to me) quite similar to Sigur Ros, mainly cause of the inaudible language (icelandic etc) and the cool synth ambient landscapes. Cool anyway

I wonder if this will ever be a form of remixing. I believe Like Spinning Plates off of Radiohead's Amnesiac album used some similar techniques, of either Yorke singing backwards and then getting it played forwards, or using a backing track of one of their other songs, which was played forwards...
ok -> Like Spinning PLates Info

Thought it was cool, so i'd share. And not just applicable to Radiohead tracks. I am gonna try some other stuff when i get home
