Question about RAM
What if I put a stick of 512Mb RAM into a board that only supports 128Mb? The PC Im on is a Compaq Presario and it has a 900MHz AMD Duron processor. Its one of those PC that come all togeather for people who dont know anything about them. I looked at the hardware manager and under system board all it says is-
Device Type: System Devices
Manufacturer: (Standard System Devices)
Hardware Version: Not Available
Im trying to use morpheus to download some files but it eats like 50 percent of my systems resources and I keep getting a blue screen. I have 3 sticks of 128Mb in there now. Is there a way to find out what this board will support? What happens if I just plug it in?
