Is this the only type of vandalism of it's kind or has anyone else heard of similar messages recently? And where did this date of December 10th come from?

If they find the vandals, what do you think should be done to them? What kind of punishment fits the crime?

I feel that this may be an isolated incident (especially since I haven't heard or seen any other reports of this nature today). And as far as punishment is concerned, it would really depend on who committed the crime. What I mean to say is that if this vandalism was done by students at Penn State, let the authorities on campus handle it (expulsion, suspension, whatever). If it was done by non-students, let the police handle it. I don't think the Secret Service should have been called until they have more to go on.

Man, if I called the police every time I saw a threat against Dubya, I wouldn't have time for anything else. Just go into any male bathroom stall to find at the very least one message proclaiming that "Bush is the real terrorist" or "I want to kill Bush." Really clever statements. Really.

Anyhow, I don't think it's important. It's just some guy trying to stir shit up... and it worked, apparently. Just let the local police deal with it.

Some of the radical anti war crowd feel that their political disagreements give them license to do stuff like this. I dont think this is a plot, and wonder about the date.

They also filled all the flag mounts in Sebastopol, CA with concrete so that flags couldnt be placed to observe Veterans Day. Kind of sick.

Heh. Yeah, spite the omnipotent government by spitting upon those who fought and died to protect your freedom to do so. These people are smart. :rolleyes:

It's still a threat against the president. Even if it's only a joke, the Secret Service has to handle it as a potential threat. And if someone's dumb enough to make a threat towards the president knowing that they could get a knock on their door from a Secret Service agent, I don't have a lot of pity for them.

I agree with Spectre. It's like joking out loud at an airport that you "got through the metal detector with your gun". Even though you are joking, there is a real threat that the proper authorities should investigate. When are people going to learn that this kind of behavior will only lead them to trouble? Even if they are joking, it is a pretty dispicable joke and they should have consequences for their actions.
