Mine doubles as a baby bag and the contents vary depending on where we're going and how long we're out. I either use a large pink baby bag (whole day trips) or a smaller, Coach, blue butterflies shoulder thing. (If I'm going out childless I just take the billfold and put lipstick and/or foldable hairbrush in the glove compartment for dates.) Today I'm on the Coach and it contains:
1 sz 3 diaper ziploc with a handful of wipes spare pare of teeny undies sz 3T hairbrush (I have frigging three feet of hair) tube of lipstick cell phone billfold some plastic ties left over from an art project my set of keys inhaler (3yr old has mild asthma) breath mints zipper pouch of change and a rubber baby spoon (but no jar food?) |
So I just started using a new purse this morning, let's see what all I have accumulated in it.....
Cell phone chap stick lip gloss lip balm tampons birth control (goes with me everyone so I don't forget to take it) chewing gum purell hand sanitizer small package of kleenex wallet tylenol bottle Keys band aids (always like to have some around) Bath & Body Works Cherry Blossom hand lotion " " perfume bottle burt's bees wax american eagle receipt So ok, I have a lot in my purse, just mean's I am a typical girl and no wonder my purse is so heavy.......... :-D |

wallet keys cell phone chap stick nail clippers tweezers bottle of Aleve eye drops sunglasses purple ink pen (if it's not purple, it's not worth it) cough drops I empty out any spare change and receipts every night, and haven't been out yet today, so that's not in there yet I try not to carry my checkbook, because then I might actually write checks... that's only for big purchases and rent It's good to know I'm not alone in needing to carry a small purse... the bigger the purse, the more crap I keep in there.... I used to carry my Palm (very old, very big), but I down sized my purse My boyfriend calls any purse I carry the purse of death, and refuses to go in it, even if it's just to get the gas card or some Aleve... he'll bring the whole thing over to me and make me get it out. =) |

Oh I love this thread and I'm kind of scared to look in my bag. I try to clean it out regularly, but ha like that happens. I have to agree the bigger the bag the more stuff I carry so warning I have a lot. I carry a messenger bag with my purse in it:
Messenger bag contains the following: - 2 unopened bottles of bubbles - 1 almost empty bottle of caffiene pills (haven't used in ages, forgot they were in there) - 1 tampon - 3 sanitary napkins - 1 ziploc baggie with random buttons in it - 1 bag cough drops - 4 small hair clippies - 2 keychains I took off my keys - 1 deck of playing cards - 1 highlighter - 1 spare change of underwear (I've had some bad leaks before at work) - 1 small calculator (again don't use) - 1 small pack of batteries for my MP3 player - lots of ransom receipts and papers - 5 old pay stubs ( I get paid weekly so these add up fast) - 1 recipe from my mom - 1 small bag of gaming dice - my wedding ring in it's original container (I'm taking it to get resized) - 2 library books - 1 of my books - 2 books for a class I start tomorrow ( I just added those friday so I wouldn't forget them) - and my purse which contains the following: - 1 pad - 2 tampons - 3 lip glosses - 1 chapstick - 1 mascara - 1 lighter (used to smoke but quit, forgot that was in there) - 1 compact with 3 lip glosses in it - 1 face powder compact - 1 box Midol - 1 swiss army knife - 1 old watch that doesn't work - 1 small bottle of Moonlight Path body lotion - my wallet - my checkbook - my keys - my sunglasses - 1 pen - another keychain I took off my keys - loose change - packet of gum - 1 large rubber band from work - work ID badge - random dice that should be in dice bag - random papers with phone number I need - MP3 player - another pen - 2 pairs of earrings (I love earrings and sometimes I'm in a huury in the mornings so these are spares) Okay so now I'm going to clean out a lot of stuff. I don't use most if it. But I can say that most days at work I also cram my lunch, any snacks and sometimes other books into my bag. When I'm not going to work and I don't need any stuff from the big bag, hard to believe I ever need it, I just grab my purse out of it. But this had led me to forget it several places like church and my in-laws because I'm not used to carrying something so small. |

my wallet which contains checkbook, cash, coupons, credit cards, and pictures travel lotion keys like 5 chapsticks and hair scruncies brush swiss army knife 4 or 5 pens and highlighters pad of paper nail clippers tide to go pen - those are awesome btw! bouncy ball sunglasses pads and tampons mirror the weirdest thing was probably a donut or something like that what kind of purses does everyone have? i have a red "ameribag: healthy back bag" and it is wonderful! everything is compartmentalized and it sits on your shoulder and doesn't feel like anything at all! |

with two kids I don't know what I would find but here goes.... a wallet with a check book, pictures and no credit cards :) no money either lol lipstick, chapstick cover up brush monster truck pen 2 tampons a red and brown caryon tic tac container my cell phone polly pocket doll birth control hand sanintizer wet naps that is about it....that wasn't too bad |
