I built a couple more of these gnome doors recently. They measure about 7-8 inches high, and about 5-6 inches wide. I used some walnut for the accents on this one, and I liked it so much I kept this one for myself. I told the neighborhood toddlers that there's a gnome that lives inside there, and one of them swears that he's seen the door open before. :)

I like the little mailbox off to the side.
That doors needs a knocker so the kids can check to see if the gnome is home. I bet he is usually away on business.

By the way... you need a little red flag on the mailbox so the gnome knows when he has mail...

That has got to be one of the coolest things that I've seen in a long time. You could sell those things by the truckload.

I appreciate all the comments. I have actually sold one of them, to a member of TFP. (I needed donation money). I have thought about selling them before, but I'm not even sure what I would charge... A friend of mine runs a booth at a RenFest, and I'm sure he'd put a couple out if I asked... hmm...

A little magical doorway into a fantasy world of the imagination is a wonderful conception to materialize. The execution, as art/craft, looks impeccable.

I'd much rather read a post where you shared your opinion about something than read a post where you simply hit ctrl-v.
