- the extended LOTR:TTT
- Space ghost
- Futurama season 2
- X-Men 2

Flippy 09-06-2003 10:51 PM

I really don't want all that much, because I'm not a movies/tv type of person :) The list below encompasses all the dvds I currently want:
  • Extended LOTR TTT
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Transformers (the original animated series) boxed set(s) (not sure if there's more than one)
  • Star Wars Trilogy
  • Back to the Future Trilogy

The rest I'll just rent =)
I hope I didn't miss anything.....

Locke 09-06-2003 11:00 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot about Pirates. I want that too.

im2smrt4u 09-07-2003 12:45 AM

Indiana Jones
Star Wars
TTT:EE
Pirates
Family Guy Season 3
The Simpsons Seasons 1,2, and 3

There are probably others, but these come to mind first.

Baldrick 09-07-2003 05:57 AM

hehe... I could go on for a loooonnng time... :D

I've worked in sales and marketing for a couple or so home video studios over the last ten years. I currently own over 2,500 DVD's, and STILL have at least a couple hundred on my want list. However, most of my want list are simply better versions of titles I already have.

Nimbletoe 09-07-2003 07:31 AM

Cruel Intentions
Donnie Darko
Finding Nemo
Pirates of the Carribean
All the Buffy seasons :P

Shook 09-07-2003 08:01 AM

Scarface Anniversary Edition
Once Upon a Time in the West
Ichi the Killer

Season sets of Animaniacs =)

Gortexfogg 09-07-2003 08:04 AM

Star Wars Trilogy
Indiana Jones

Also, I'd like to see all the older Woody Allen movies re-releashed on DVD with some worthwhile features. It probably won't happen, but I will never spend $20 bucks for a DVD with not much more on it than the movie.

That's a big problem actually. I have about half of them alphabetically in bookshelves, and the other half (the half I know it will take me years to get around to watching) are stored in boxes. When we move into a much needed bigger house, I have a design to make some great DVD specific cases that will go all around the entertainment room - each holding about 300 DVD's.

Believe it or not, I've sold another 1,000 to 1,500 DVD's over the last few months. Stuff I know I'll NEVER watch, or duplicate titles. I mean, seriously, who needs more than one copy of Soapdish? :D

eris 09-08-2003 04:31 AM

Its all about extended LOTR Two Towers (said frothing at the mouth). The extended version for the Fellowship was absolutely amazing... a vast improvement over the theatrical release.

EDIT: Got Family Guy ... back to saving money.

gwr_gwir 09-10-2003 07:48 AM

self, I'd like to see American Gods turned into (straight translation from) book to movie. As to dvds... Flight of the Navigator, the Animaniacs series, the Pinky and the Brain series (with commentary per episode detailing the political jokes), and the Muppet Show DVDs. Twilight Zone and Quantum Leap complete sets would be nice, too.

The entire Twilight Zone (original series) is available on DVD in five seperate 9 disc collections from Image Entertainment. Great packages, but unfortunately they are not in broadcast order. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which episodes are on which disc, but these are still cornerstones in my DVD library! :)

Cynthetiq 09-10-2003 08:54 AM

It's not even in production for DVD... :(

Eiresol 09-11-2003 04:31 PM

Ordered Family Guy Season 2 and 3 today.
Preordered City of God. :)

Versus is another one I want to get.
But what I really need is a home cinema set up.
Mmmm 7.1 sound + projector

Baldrick 09-11-2003 04:50 PM

Shall We Dance. One of my favorite films. Unfortunately, they probably won't put it on DVD until the God awful Richard Gere/Jennifer Lopez remake hit theatres...

Loup 09-14-2003 03:50 AM

Family Guy Vol. 2 will be joining the rest of my collection within a couple of hours
