Microphone cameos in Bruce Almighty?
 

I was just wondering if anyone else noticed the microphones popping in and out of the picture in Bruce Almighty. In the theater that I saw it, the bottom part of the screen was cut off, leaving the top most portion of the picture clearly visible. This happened on numerous occasions. Are the producers / editor / director / microphone man retarded or what?

I did not witness any microphones popping in to the shot. But maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention.

Well, it could have been some stoned-out projectionist messing around with us.

i noticed it in my theater too...sometimes we even caught the ceiling to the apartment...and their were missing tiles. it was terrible! i thought it was only in my theater and i was about to kill the projectionist.

i hate it when shit like that happens in the movies...i wanna go tell somebody but i dont want to miss the film.

Stuff like that is in just about every movie... it's the projectionist's job to frame the film properly so they don't appear on the screen in front of you. Though if it is occurring in so many theaters, I'd surmise that the director was cutting the frame too tight & not leaving the projectionists much room to work with.
