Who do you think the scariest actresses are, and in what film?

I have two:

1. Cameron Diaz in Vanilla Sky
2. Kathy Bates in Misery

I think Cameron Diaz was the scariest of the two. She really freaked me out in that movie!

Joan Crawford definately. The older she got, the more she freaked me out...

little Linda Blair from the Exorcist was pretty damn scary.
and Joan Rivers is just plain scary in real life.

and for those who haven't seen it, the female lead in AUDITION will leave you cowering!!!

I agree with Kathy Bates in Misery. Although I myself have never quite gotten over The Wicked Witch of the West. :-P

Linda Blair in "The Exorcist" will keep you up at night.

Glenn Close in "Fatal Attraction" will keep you HOME at night.

Yeah, Linda was crazy. I thought she was kinda hot later on, tho. But, the thing that freaks me out about Fatal Attraction and Vanilla Sky, is that I could see that really happening. Not much threat of a chick's head spinning and hovering over the bed.

Seriously, I would say: Barbarra Steissand in about anything she does.

Anjelica Houston in "The Witches" a kid's movie, sure, but still the fucking scariest kid's movie ever

nobody else thinks cameron diaz was crazy in vanilla sky. seriously. thats the only thing i kept thinking about when i saw her in any other movie after seing vanilla sky. but she's cool though. she's one of my favorite actresses.

Angelina Jolie in that Movie that she was in a mental institution, I cannot remember the name....Does anyone remember the name of it??

I think Winona Ryder was in it too.

I'm serious here. That woman could drive me insane.
She's everything I don't like in a woman, and is obviously a psychopath when you look at the way she uses her "feminine charm" to get what she wants.

Chloe Sevigny, in anything on the street or in a movie

Hmmmmm... but bad in a very, very good way. Yum.

My vote goes for Kathy Bates in Misery. Few people can portray mental illness that well. Plus the near orgasmic face she has on when she "hobbles" James Caan's caracter is chilling.

It's going back a bit, but I say Bette Davis. Especially in the movies she made right before she died. She scares the hell out me, with those eyes of hers and that cigarette-smoker's voice.

Gwenyth Paltrow in 'Shakespear in Love' - omg, that moustache!

Louise Fletcher in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a good one. She is definitely one of the worst women to ever grace the screen.

I feel for ya though, ARRH. I thought Cameron was damn scary in Vanilla Sky too. Just how obsessive she was and then especially towards the end where Tom Cruise was having the hallucinations, she was definitely frightening.

She was a total freak in Mary Reilly! She was the head lady of a whore house before she got her head cut off :D
