I like Ottawa... believe me there are worse places to live. The canal in the summer and the winter rocks. The local music kicks ass. The arts scene is solid. CKCU is the best campus radio station in Canada (OK maybe one of the best). Gatineau is just across the river (minutes to countryside in all directions). The National Gallery is great. The Byward market has many good features. The Bytowne Cinema is, without questions, the best arthouse cinema in Canada (I know what I'm talking about).

Sure the place is populated with bureacrats but they go home and leave the city alone by 6 pm. Time to party.
