Just wondering whether you aussies prefer to go to a pub or a club?

Personally I prefer the pubs, since id rather sit around getting shitfaced while playing pool than dancing (because I'm that guy you see on the dancefloor who has no idea).

pub, definately.

not a fan of clubs at all, but alas, if thats where the night takes us, then so be it.

afterall, there is still beer at clubs.

Looks like the poll is fairly one-sided folks... though methinks it would be different if more ladies were around here.

so you mean Club as in NightClub... and not RSL Club...

i quite like RSL Clubs... cheap prices, easy broads, lots of pokies... rather like most pubs i know...

but as for nightclubs, i'm not that much of a fan, unless i'm already shitfaced and happen to make it passed security.

Pubs are great.....

but then after too much time at a pub I go to the club and make an idiot of myself on the dancefloor.

I love quiet drinks at a chilled-out pub.. not a "chockers-it's-happies-lets-drink-as-much-as-we-can" pub :)

I dunno about the ladies thing....I'm a chick and definitely a pub gal - and always have been. I would much prefer to be able to hear the words coming out of people's mouth than have to try and lip read over shite and deafening dance pap.

Personal choice.

I actually tend to get more drunk at home than at a pub, which is a bit scary.

Yup, I'm the same. Then again, I reckon I spent a good ten or so years in pubs on pretty much a continuous basis, so I'm a happy homebody now.

Still, I get out to my local from time to time...a reasonably cool Irish pub in town. Unfortunately, I tend to run into people from work more often than not....the pitfalls of living in a medium sized city with very few decent watering holes.
