Is there any type of friends system in vietnam, such as there was in the lastest version of battlefield1942? I like being able to see my friends green so we can work together better.

if there is a system, how do you access it?

look at the number beside the friend when you press tab, and then go into your console and type
ab, standing for 'add buddy'

Just wanted to add that this game is awesome. I play it all the time. I can't wait until the first patch comes out so we can sort the fucking servers and add servers to a favorites list!

I also think DICE should take the M79 Grenade Launcher and L.A.W. out of the M60 class, put them both in a single class, and make that selection an "Anti-Armor" class. Then simply give the M60 class regular grenades, a pistol, and a knife. No fucking medkits either.

yea the game is awesome...
little bit of stuttering since i only have 512mb of ram, but i just lowered the detail and its running awesome, i just totally owned a few servers a few minutes ago...

What videocard do you have? I know of a file tweak that makes the game run a LOT better. It only works with NVIDIA video cards though!

It looks like the newest patch addresses the M-60/LAW problem.

Yep. While I LOVED the old M60 and RPD, I agree that they were way too powerful. I wouldn't mind having them back, but I'm definitely getting used to the "new" M60 and RPD.

My solution to the M60 problem was this: take the M79 Grenade Launcher and LAW out of the M60 class and combine them into one, making an anti-armor class. Give the M60 class grenades, and that's it. That would have solved *everything.* Well, except for the fact that those two machineguns were still really, really powerful.

I use the Type-56/RPG combo on NVA now and the M60/M79 combo on US. Sometimes I use the CAR-15 or M15 on the US side. I would use the M16, but I'm not sure I like the M16. I don't like the AK-47 either, so I guess I just hate light assault rifles.

That M14 that they substituted for the LAW class is still incredibly powerful. Not automatic, but it's still pretty much a 1/2 shot kill.

Is anybody having any problems with this patch? I've heard a lot of people have had more problems with the patch then they did before it. I'm a little bit worried about installing it.

Yeah, a lot of people are having problems. It's working fine for me, though! I do get disconnected a bit more often now, but I'm not sure if it's my shitty DSL or the patch.

I'd just install it and test it out.

Yeah, I saw a guy like 1/4 of a mile away and he was shooting something automatic at me. I aimed the M14 at him and killed him -- head shot, one hit kill. I was awesome. Damn thing thing is slow, though!
