looking for a good 2 player Co-Op game

Im looking for a good game that 2 players can play Co-Op mode in, besides FPS's and sports games, and for either Xbox or Gamecube.

Me and my brother really got into Samuari Warriors a while back, and I haven't gotten into a good co-op game since.

Check out the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance series! They're fun hack and slash RPGs.

Hunter: The Reckoning and H:TR Redeemer are both good co-ops. Zombie bashing fun.

I'm pretty sure crimison skies for xbox has Co-op, but i'm not positive, still a great game regadless.

Shame you don't have a ps2, as it has possibly the greatest co-op game ever made on it: The Adventures of Cookies and Cream.

That said, you've got a gamecube, which is traditionaly the best there is for multi-player games. Xbox has some good offerings too. While I haven't played that many of them, co-op games available to you include:

X-Men Legends
LotR RotK
the Baldurs Gate stuff.
Metal Slug 3
Dynasty Warriors
Ikaruga
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike

Wait for Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory

X-Men Legends is a lot of fun co-op.

Coppertop 12-08-2004 03:54 PM

Full Spectrum Warrior is co-op, yes?

neveroddoreven 12-08-2004 05:38 PM

was Champions of Norrath released on anything other than ps2? if so, its a good one.

silver26 12-08-2004 05:59 PM

Thanks guys. Ive tried most of these games... but will give Metal Slug 3 and Dynasty Warriors a shot.

LOTR: Return of the King was my fav co-op game ever.

hulk 12-08-2004 06:31 PM

Timesplitters 2 has co-op, so check that out, too. And I'll recommend Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, as well, because it was just so insanely awesome going through it with a pal. Oh, and Conflict Desert Storm, if you're into that military stuff. Good times.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is tons of fun, also might want to try to find maybe a racing game. Not really sure what's out for X-Box or Gamecube but I am sure you would be able to find many!

Alien hominid for the NGC

They need to remake the Golden Axe games for this type of play!

Are you saying that the new SC is going to have a 2 player mode for the actual game...? :icare:

Gauntlet dark legacy was pretty fun with 3 friends.

mandal 12-08-2004 10:14 PM

try playing some single player games, but by switching off. Has to be an event type game where each turn doesn't last too long. I played burnout with my bro for a bit by switching off and it was pretty fun. Also I see my bro and his friend switch off while playing Need for speed underground 2.

Don't limit yourself to just co-op games.

NeverBorn 12-08-2004 11:24 PM

Ghost Recon is fun (only saying this right now because of the sudden resurgence of LANed GR at College right now)

omega2K4 12-08-2004 11:26 PM

Halo 2 is awesome for some good ol' 2 player split screen co-op.

silver26 12-09-2004 04:11 AM

Well, I was looking for a good co-op game for me and my brother... he's not big on FPS's or Military games, so that weeds a few out

Alien hominid looks pretty interesting at the moment.

How did I forget this one? Four Swords on Gamecube. That's episodic and designed for 4 players, but 2 works well. You'll need Gameboys though.

I dont have a gameboy :(

That and the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles looks like it would be real fun if you and your friends had a bunch of gameboys.

It is. You really need more than two people for Crystal Chronicles though. The family system rewards more players in the game by having more items accessible at home.
