Yes. This is true. Growing up, I worshipped the fact that my best friend's grandmother was constantly fixinto make a mater sandwich or roll some okra.

There's also "'bout fixinto". That's when you're not quite nearly going to do that thing, but pretty soon you'll be close to starting it.
