Going to Hamburg, Germany this weekend
 

Any tips? I arrive sat. morning and return sunday evening to the UK.

Have a beer in the St Pauli & Altona districts. Its not just the reeperbahn but a really nice area where you can drink til late and have a great time. Don't look for too much going on, just enjoy the vibe.

Stayed in a hostel in the St. Pauli area which was pretty good, found a pub which played some jazz. Also would HIGHLY recommend going to a pub which is across from the marriot in town centre. I think it's called the Prinz and Konig. They serve the BEST steak that i've ever had. you get to cook it yourself at the table on a hot rock with seasonings and more.. mmmmm PM me if anyone wants more details :D

Shame you missed out on seeing a game at the Millerntor, home of FC St Pauli (They were away last weekend thats why I didn't mention it before). That is an experience everyone should have once, and if you like your football as it should be (and used to be) you'll go back often for more.

I'd like to know how it goes for you!! My fiance is going over Oct 4-18th to work on an installation in Itzahoe (aobut 20 min north of Hamburg) so Im sure he and the guys will be heading into Hamburg to see some sites and stuff while he's there so any tips you could pass along would be great

My friend who was out there looked into this, he said that last time he was there it was a great game. Perhaps if i'm back there again...

if you go to munich,you shold really go to the english garden and to the olympic park.it'll be worth it!
