Well someone came early

Just a note, my son was born today, 6 weeks early, all is good so far.

I wouldn't have stayed up to 130 am posting on TFP last night if I knew I'd be up at 230 am going to the hospital.

maleficent 10-07-2004 11:01 AM

Congratulations on the birth of your son... Glad the news is good so far...

Sleep? You're a parent now, you won't sleep for the next 18 or so years :)

Averett 10-07-2004 11:10 AM

Congrats :) Will he have to spend any extra time in the hospital?

So, did you go with naming him Hannibal?

asaris 10-07-2004 11:13 AM

Congrats. Hope everything goes well with him.

10-07-2004 11:23 AM

WELL, CONGRATULATIONS!

Irishsean 10-07-2004 11:57 AM

What?

No name, no length or weight?

C'mon man, brag a little!

Yeah, you can always tell the difference between a birth announcement from a man and from a woman. "Baby! Had one!" :D (I'm still getting harassed, and it was two years ago!)

Seriously, congratulations and best of luck.

stonegrody 10-07-2004 12:10 PM

Congrats! Yeah, let's have some details!

ShaniFaye 10-07-2004 12:17 PM

congrats!!!! Is this your first child?

Bill O'Rights 10-07-2004 12:19 PM

Congratulations, my friend.
So...will you now be changing your name to wethree? :D

Oh, and yeah, you'll really be missing that sleep in about three months. My advice? Get all you can now, while wife and Jr. are still in the hospital.

 No, that'll be Hannibal's login... 18 years from now. Unless he wants to get himself banned.

powerclown 10-07-2004 01:31 PM

Congrats, man!

filtherton 10-07-2004 01:46 PM

Congratulations there, big fella. I bet he grows up liberal. ;)

vox_rox 10-07-2004 02:03 PM

Kids, hmmm... Congrats to you, and may I say better you than me. Oh, and you'll be up later than 1:30 or 2:30 for a while, and probably not posting so much an TFP.

Seriously though, hope it all works out for the whole group of you.

gar1976 10-07-2004 02:19 PM

Congrats.

Oh, and nowadays, if the kids over 6 lbs they declare him healthy and still kick you out after two nights. Enjoy it while you can.

The scariest thing was when we first brought our son home, and were like, "Oh shit, what do we do now? WHERE'S THE FUCKING MANUAL FOR THIS KID????"

Mephisto2 10-07-2004 02:59 PM

Congratulations Ustwo!

At least the kid will have a doctor in the family!

Mr Mephisto

Suave 10-07-2004 04:12 PM

 Am I the only person who read the title and came in expecting a bad sex joke? (probably :P )

Congrats on your new bundle o' joy! May you love every minute of frustration and horror as you raise one of the deadliest creatures known to mankind... a baby.

Man, you're not kidding. My little brother's announcement, about eight weeks ago, was "It's baby!"

Congrats, Ustwo and Ms. Ustwo!

madcow 10-07-2004 07:17 PM

Congrats man, I'm sure you'll be a great father.

I'm a Slacker 10-07-2004 07:31 PM

congrats man

guthmund 10-07-2004 08:38 PM

Congratulations on the new arrival, Ustwo

The next few months will be hell like you've never experienced. Sleep deprivation, night time feedings, sleep deprivation, endless crying, sleep deprivation, nursing the wife back to health and sleep deprivation.

After a few months of never sleeping it's important to remember two things. Babies are pretty simple creatures food goes in one end and comes out the other. Try not to mix those up. Secondly, it's the greatest thing you'll ever do and your most important accomplishment. Ever.

Congratulations, again.

amonkie 10-07-2004 08:46 PM

Congratulations! Make sure you pamper your wife for a day or two... she's just gone through a ton of work! :) Chocolate never fails :D

Well, if you don't have time for reading the whole manual, there's always
