Party picture

Hi All,

I went to a smashing party in London at the weekend. Unfortunetly my girlfriend couldn't come. Anyway, this is the crux, I ended up having my picture taken with a girl on each arm and flirted a bit with both of them. Nothing happened mind you. Anyway, these photos my brother (was his house) has kindly put online for all to see, my gf (whom I love) will probably see it eventually and I am trying to decide whether I should show it to her first. She can be firey and I might lose precious bodily parts. I don't know, what do you think I should do?

If you don't tell her, and she sees the picture you might have some serious 'splainin' to do Lucy... If it was innocent -- show her the pic - and make light of it -- look honey, you were out of town, I needed a babe on each arm to replace you...

If you don't show here -- and she finds out-- I am not a jealous person by nature, but i'd wonder why you weren't showing me the pic...

Agreed. Show her, because if she finds out otherwise (And women always do it seems), she'll think you had something to hide.

Mal's got the right answer. Even if something did happen you might as well show her and explain the situation. It'll save alot of drama later. On the other hand if she never sees it well then you don't have to worry about anything. Unless your girl is just the super jealous type then I don't see why showing her would cause bodily harm.

You'll pay for this one for many moons. But fess up now, because she'll find it later anyways.

And be smarter next time. If you flirt, stay away from the cameras.

[QUOTE=gar1976]And be smarter next time. If you flirt, stay away from the cameras.QUOTE]

there's nothing wrong with flirting, and it really doesn't need to be hidden (as long as that flirting isn't followed thru on, and it's within reason...

Why not tell your bro to take the pics down?

martinguerre 12-07-2004 08:18 PM

any man who posts pictures in such a manner as to intentionally draw the wrath of a SO...

is not your brother. ask 'em once, and then write him out of the will.

but yeah, if the pictures are likely to get back to her, you might as well fess up and have a chance to make it clear it wasn't cheating.

maleficent 12-07-2004 08:21 PM

Unless he's got something to hide -- why go thru the trouble of hiding it... If she's that jealous and untrusting of him, why woudl he want to be with her... Most sane women would laugh off the picture and not let it concern them

Where he's going to get into trouble is by having the pic hidden... or not telling her what went on at the party...

clavus 12-07-2004 08:30 PM

Not all women are as sane as the lovely and talented maleficent. Let her know about the "embarassing" photos of you, but be prepared for the shitstorm that may follow.

*clavus quietly ponders why people waste their lives with jealous, insane lovers*

You're right people, thats the advice another friend has given my too. I just have no idea how she might react, it'll probably be fine but I'm worried. The situation is more complicated, she has moved away for a year as part of her university course (four months ago) and we only see each other at weekends. Last weekend was the only weekend that I didn't see since this started. Things can get wobbly and I am just concerned :(

Que sera, sera. I will show her the photo and we shall see.

Thanks again everyone.

She's moved away? To uni?

Chances are she's got similar photos that she doesn't know whether she should show you.

avernus 12-08-2004 03:35 AM

She might indeed. Actually we met at uni, I was a demonstrator in undergraduate labs (physics) and she was a first year ug, so I used and abused my position of power! Now its her third year and as part of her course she has to work in industry for a year, and I'm all lonesome :(
