It's in search of a title. Maybe just "A Fox In The Ice", but most likely not. Anyway...

Pine trees
Hockey
Ice fields
Quicksand
A fox in the ice
We shoot pucks at it
It floats up and down
Down when it tries to squirm free
And up when it forgets about survival
I didn't really want to shoot one at it myself
But I did
And I regretted it
When I dreamt I was the fox
