Afraid
 

This is a bit of an experiment with a different kind of poetry than I did before. If you read the ones I did before, you can probably see a bit of a pattern in the themes... oh well.

I've wandered through this life alone
With no real place to call my home
Sadness stalks me where ever I go
Torment is all I've ever known
Rainy days won't go away
Except for when I need them the most
Why am I here on this earth
I've been toruted ever since my birth
There has to be more than what I have seen
But when will I find just what I need
I forget about life when I can
But soon it comes knocking at my door again
I need to get away from this place
Somewhere that I can be my own person, with my own face
When that time comes it can't be worse
So when chance and I meet I hope to go
But will I recognize it,
And will I not be afraid?

When the time comes... that is often the question most people wonder about in relation to something in their life. Only one person can answer that, you. Great piece of work. I really enjoyed it and could even relate to itin a certain sense.
