The Land Of NED - New England Dragway - my best time in a '72 Nova SS 454 LS6 was 12.2 @ 112 MPH in the 1/4 - Lenco 3 speed automatic, 5000 stall converter, 4:56 rear end & Holley 850 DBL pumper - running solid lifters I was hitting about 420 BHP...
oh yeah - the motor was put together by Lundin Machine and balanced by Lindskog...

then I took it on the street and racked it... oh well

Drag racing just doesn't do it for me.
I prefer racing on tracks...Whats the point of going fast, if you can't do it through corners? Nothing like taking a corner in a friends SLK32 AMG.

The adrenaline rush from road racing doesn't come close to drag racing. No feeling like standing the car on its ass end after launching off a t-brake, then feeling like you're getting your insides ripped out when the chute pops.
