Its 542 hp 545 ft. lbs of torque at only 5 pounds of boost. I'm guessing at about 750 with 8 lbs of boost. Fun to drive but right turns are a b!tch

Well, there is Porsche aafficianados (sp?) and then theirs the purists, I'd say its about 50/50 whether they like it or not, either way they can't keep up. This motor still keeps me at a 50 /50 weight ratio front and back so it handles great, I just can't see that well to the right when I am driving. The blower is a HUGE blindspot.

I drive (and try to keep fuel in) a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab 4X4. It's a great truck and I love everything about it except it really likes gasoline. It's new so I really hope the fuel mileage gets a little better real soon. Right now it is getting 13-15 mpg. The only mods to it are nerf bars (so the wife can get in!), an Aeroturbo exhaust and TrueFlow air cleaner.

I'm 21 in Ontario and I drive a 92 Beretta GT. Currently has a 3.1 MPFI under the hood. I call it my budget Camaro, though I haven't decided exactly what I want to do with it yet. Possible future directions to take with it :
-swap out the engine with a 3.8L SFI. It'll be a lot of work, but if I can pull the drivetrain from something like a Bonneville SSEi, it's 100 hp gain right there without any modification to the engine. -modify the current engine in there for as much horsepower as I can manage. I'll want a supercharger because I hate turbo lag in any form and can't be bothered with sequential turbos or messing around with spools. Before that comes the new heads, some headers and possibly dual exhaust with an h pipe, new cam and pistons, a new chip, new injectors and a new ignition, plus as much weight ripped out as I can manage. Note that these modifications are wildly out of order due to it being nearly 3 am and my being really fucking tired. -leave the engine stock and concentrate on getting a better car to sink my money into. This is the loption I like the least, due to my desire to modify any car I drive ('never leave 'em stock'), but given my current cashflow it may be the most likely. Either way I also plan on putting in massively upgraded suspension, looking into swapping the rear drums for a set of discs, a paint job and some minor bodywork to give it a bit of a custom look. My goal is to get it moving faster and handling better, with over 250 hp at the wheels. Next car is a 79 Trans Am, with a blown, bored and stroked 383. Quick edit, upon my realising how redundant that last statemnt was. Of coruse a 383 is stroked, but bored and blown all the same. At which point it's not really a 383 anymore. But hey. 3 am, that's my excuse and I'm standing by it. |

I have an Alpina b8 4,6. It is awesome. Will cruise at 155mph all day, max speed is 182 or so. Got it very cheap though servicing and fuel costs are a astronomical. Here's my current daily driver - And I might add that I like it even more now that gas prices are going through the roof. The first two photos show it with a set of Eagle GT-II's installed... They were great for the road, but I needed something that could handle the sand at the beach, the occasional soft dirt, and boat ramps...(I pull my friends small boat occasionally)
It's a clean little truck that really takes a beating, and gets me anywhere. It'll pull a decent sized boat out of the water, and with the AT's not spin on the ramp. When I take it easy, it'll get about 24mpg in town, and on the highway it'll give me 28-30mpg. It beats the Ford I had hands down, but I do miss the extra room. This is the FIRST vehicle I ever bought with economy in mind...and these days when I see a hummer or big truck rolling down the road I shudder at the thought of having to fill them up with a tank of gas. $35+ is bad enough for mine. 2003 Toyota Tacoma 2.0L 4Cyl 5-Spd Add Ons: Ventshades for windows - (Don't you hate when you have the window open slightly in the morning, or after a rain, and when you turn the water comes inside with you? My favorite ride is my '05 Rocky Mountain Slayer, mods include removal of the big ring and addition of a rock ring/chain guide, 8" rear rotor, Saint rear deraileur and hub, Mavic 729 disc rim and bolt on grips.
My other rides are '92 Ford F250 Diesel extra cab longbox 7.3l diesel. Mods include Banks sidewinder turbo, dual 3" straight pipes, injector pump turned up. Makes way more power than stock. I also have a '93 Toyota Camry wagon with seating for 7. No mods other than a bike rack on the roof. |

My Motorcycle Vacation - 1993 The filesize is almost 17MB so be patient... I set the pics to a couple tunes by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Oh, and my apologies for the poor sound quality. We took off from Copperas Cove, TX (near Ft.Hood) rode to a small town just east of Waco where she lived, picked her up and hit the road. We drove all through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Oklahoma before giving up on Mothers Day 1993 after getting rained on one too many times...we hauled ass back in a rented 10ft Uhaul truck. Our bikjes were both Yamaha XS1100 models, mine a 1981 and his a 1979 (or 1980 - can't remember). We got to see some beautiful contry, ate good, spent several nights drunk (Jr's Ribs & Bar in Nashville for one) and had a blast. We didn't have much money, but on a budget of about $400 a piece, spent 8 days and 9 nights riding and just enjoying ourselves. Enjoy! |

Thanks zVp. They weren't anything special....just good old straight bikes. If I had it to do over again.... I would never have put some of those goofy stickers on the gas tank. It was a pain in the ass to remove them, and I ended up painting the bike because of it...
I did all the work on both bikes, from regular brake jobs to fork tuning, to carburetor rebuilds. My bike started off as a plain Yamaha XS 1100. I had the seat reupholstered, and added that little patch of crushed velvet on the back for the ladies. I added Dunlop touring tires, rebuilt all 4 carburetors, added new handlebars from a Yamaha Radian for quicker turning, and last but not least a new set of 4 into1 exhaust. It wasn't Vance & Hines, but it was a lot less expensive. I tinkered on that bike all the time, always trying to get a litle more out of it, and adding new grips or something. I even hard mounted & wired in a cigarette lighter so I could grab a smoke & not have to stop. I just slowed down to around 30 mph or so, and kept the cigarette in the palm of my hand so it wouldn't burn up so fast. My Buddy's bike was in better shape cosmetically when he got it... but we still went with new handlebars like mine, new tires & brakes like mine, carb rebuild, and new exhaust. One thing I had to do with his was install a small luggage rack/backrest since he hauled his girl around a lot. She wouldn't ride without something behind her to make her feel safe. Now we didn't go with a factory accessory, but rather one that was cheap and had to be modified to fit. I also had to relocate the rear turn signals and their wiring so that the rack would fit, but it came out pretty good, and she was happy so it was worth it. I liked having to make women put their arms around me to hang on...so no luggage rack for my bike. The fastest those bikes ever ran was one morning after I had spent all night doing carb rebuilds on Shawn's bike. I goofed and didn't mark all the vacuum lines, so when it came time to put back together I had a hell of a time trying to get it to run right...and I was damned if I was gonna take mine apart and risk two bikes not running. I finally got it right about 7am, and it sounded sweet, although our neighbors hates us for all those "sweet" sounds. I still had the seat off, so I just laid a folded towel on the frame, sat on it, and proceeded to take it for a test drive. My buddy rode along on my bike in case something went wrong. I got it out on a 4-5 mile stretch of US 190 headed east towards west Ft.Hood...rode to the WFH exit, and everything ran good. Now to open her up and see what she had.... His speedo was an older model than mine and showed 0-160 mph. Mine stopped at 85mph (but both bikes were within a couple mph of each other in top end). I tucked down onto the tank, and ran it for all she was worth. I got to within 1/2 mile of the city limits coming from the east when I had to back out of it, and get slowed down before I got a ticket I didn't want. Top end? 154mph at a little after 7am on a sunday morning... SWEET! Needless to say we never ran like that normally, but it made me respect those bikes all the more. It was nice to have that extra power to get out of a sticky spot when necessary too. Anyway.... Thanks for the compliment on the bikes. I really miss riding a lot. I am really considering another motorcycle once I get my Tacoma paid for! :thumbsup: |

This is my other 1990 nissan stanza, paid $280 for it and is 120 miles shy from 220,000 miles on it. It's rusty and the has a bunch of little problems with it but it gets 31mpg and still runs and shifts like it is new.
