Hopefully they got many hours of enjoyment out of it first. That's tragic.

that is too bad, I don't suppose that it gives them any consolation whatsoever that the people who designed/built it may have been the pilots as well. That is a big investment, I wonder if you could insure something like that with Lloyds of London or something...?

Man, has that got to suck. Hope they've got some sort of insurance or REALLY good income!

I think it was a little too windy that last time they flew it. Not to mention the electrical interference that storm must've been causing.

Whoa that a real shame.....After watching that, all I can think is all that money / time up in smoke. I'm sure that was very expensive hobby.

Wow, that really sucks for those guys. I bet that thing cost a lot of money. Huge explosion too.

I don't know how to feel, at one point you know the risk you take with this kind of toys. I feel sorry that so much time went down the drane. But, as the RC forum says, they are planning to rebuild it, so we might even see it again :)

I'm with yellowgowild. From all of the wind noise... it doesn't sound like it was a good day for flying.
