I love it !

This reminds me of a gimmick I had a few years back: krotazoa the travel giraffe

I took this giraffe toy thing to Cuba and posed it for all kinds of funny shots. I'll try to dig them up and post an homage thread inspired by your idea.

I must say, it appears more trollish than gnomish in nature.

Terrifying, either way. Hair is reminiscent of how mine looked yesterday morning.
